A complete examination of the teeth and gums is necessary to diagnose over 200 diseases that can occur in the mouth and jaws. Proper dental exams are an efficient way to keep your smile healthy and to keep you looking and feeling your best. Filling decayed or broken teeth, treating infected teeth through root canal procedures, restoring broken or missing teeth with crowns and/or bridges and diagnosing and treating periodontal (gum) disease are all important ways that we can help you maintain your dental health. Regularly scheduled, preventative dental care and cleaning is a crucial investment for your future comfort.
Should an emergency arise, Summit Dental is available on a 24 hour basis to assist you with your dental needs. Our staff is readily available to support you in any way that we can. Please call if you have any questions or need to make an urgent appointment: Layton Office 801.547.8800, Roy Office 801.773.1234.
Many dental diseases are now preventable, but brushing alone won’t do the trick; regularly scheduled dental care and specialized treatments to help prevent disease are the best way for you to protect your teeth and gums and ensure a healthy smile.
At Summit Dental, we believe in prevention. Through the use of various fluorides, high-fluoride and tarter-control toothpastes, sealants, antibiotic mouth rinses and other agents, we are able to help stop cavity formation, periodontal disease and other dental issues before they start. Early detection and treatment of crooked teeth (Malocclusions) can help you avoid extensive orthodontic treatment and/or corrective surgery. These and other preventative measures are sure to keep your smile looking like a dream.
White Composite Fillings
Until recently, dentists had to use silver and mercury amalgam to fill and seal fillings, leaving a large portion of your tooth missing, weakened and unsightly. We are excited to say that gone are the days of silver fillings and that “metal mouth” look you’ve hated for so long. Recent innovations now allow us to replace old silver fillings with composite or porcelain fillings that are stronger, safer and more natural looking. These white fillings will blend in seamlessly, leaving you with a beautiful smile.
